On June 18, 2026, Lenny Stamm received the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Associations first Lifetime Achievement Award and the award is named after him. The criteria for the award are: a minimum of 30 years of active legal practice in criminal defense; demonstrated exceptional advocacy in significant cases that have advanced the law or protected constitutional rights of the accused; service to MCDAA and the broader legal community through mentorship, scholarship, or leadership roles; and, recognized as a role model of professionalism, ethics, and commitment to justice.
At a sold out awards dinner at Maryland Live Casino, 240 people were present for dinner and an awards ceremony including these awards: the Legislative Impact Award to Senator William C. Smith, Jr., the Outstanding Member of the Year Award to Andy Jezic, the Young Lawyer of the Year Award to George Michael Kirk and Daniel P. Mooney.
